Earlier this month I photographed a fundraising carol service for Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester, just outside Cambridge on behalf of Georgi Mabee Photography. This was the first annual carol service held in a Godmanchester church after previously being held at Wood Green’s Godmanchester centre. Soon I saw the first of many gorgeous dogs arriving with their owners in tow, many festively dressed for the service and set for some rather bespoke portrait pictures in the sun.
There were many familiar faces and dedicated supporters of Wood Green Animal Shelters who arrived to join in the festivities, as well as some well known canine companions too! The service was a little louder than the usual church services I attend as a wedding photographer due to the many pooches in the pews, although both choirs and the rest of the congregation sounded fantastic.
