Lenny Kravitz is an icon. He has the aura of a rock star that some more modern bands are missing. Kravitz prowled the stage, occasionally lowering his shades, which made the front rows of fans hold their banners higher and scream louder.
Photographing Kravitz was a special kind of commission because I felt completely immersed in the performance. Often I am concentrating so much that I don’t hear the music, but this show was all-encompassing and it was a pleasure to capture that atmosphere.
